MusaJapón, a look to the Japanese culture

During the months of August and September it will be celebrated on the Nature and Man Museum of Tenerife the cultural festival Musa, that this year is dedicated to Japan.

With a proposal that goes from cinema to gastronomy, going by music, traditional games, kimonos, manga o karate, this festival promises being very interesting to the lovers of the Japanese culture.

A big variety of activities are part of the signboard, starting by a Japanese film cycle during Thursday of August, at 21:30h, and with free entry. In collaboration with the Canary Film Library of the Government of the Canary Islands, this summer cinema will show five movies, one every Friday. “Our little sister”, “Nagasaki, memories of my son”, “Your Name”, “Goodbyes” and “Wood Job!”, are the titles of the proposed movies for this edition.

The idea of this sixth edition centered on Japan comes from the results of the polls make to the public that went to the last edition. It is also justified for the big interest that the Asian country generates on our occidental culture, so different in so many aspects.

For realizing this activities program, it has counted with the advice of member and collectives of the Japanese community on Canary Islands.

Besides of this cinema cycle, it will be a Japanese music on September’s Fridays, and workshops with a varied theme, both in August and September. Music and History, tea ceremony, kimonos, bonsais, etc. are some of the interesting themes that these workshops will treat.
